Viet nam

Viêt Nam joined SWA in 2014. It is one of the Pioneer Countries for the Mutual Accountability Mechanism. Viet Nam has multiple platforms in WASH for stakeholder involvement limited to sub-sectors. According to the 2019 GLAAS report Viet Nam has formally approved national policies for drinking water and sanitation in both rural and urban settings. Viet Nam developed a National Rural Development Program 2016-20 which explicitly recognized participatory approaches to promote rural water supply and sanitation. The national government is committed to ensure safe drinking water for all by 2030.
