Sao Tome and Principe


Sao Tome and Principe joined SWA in 2020. The country’s Participatory Strategy for Water and Sanitation aims to guarantee access to clean water and adequate sanitation for all and the development of integrated management of resources and systems by 2030, enabling the sustainable development of the country. The government’s priorities include the development of a legislative and regulatory framework for water, the expansion of the water distribution network and of safely managed sanitation and wastewater treatment, combating sanitation-related diseases.
