Guinea Bissau joined SWA in 2014. The country's priority actions for the sector are 1) by 2025, develop and implement a national plan to eliminate open defecation, 2) by 2022, develop and implement a program of support to municipalities for the mastery of water and sanitation services, and key for multi-stakeholder dialogue, 3) by 2020, set up a mechanism for intersectoral operational coordination of water, hygiene and sanitation.
