Democratic Republic of Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo joined SWA in 2016. Water and sanitation public services are developed in collaboration with different development partners and strategies. The government organizes a monthly meeting between the directorates working in the sector, called the National Action Committee on Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (CNAEHA). The government also leads a knowledge management and sector learning platform that includes government, civil society and development partners to assess the way forward for leave no one behind in water and sanitation access.

The country recently developed the sector framework programme, the PNEHA (Programme national Eau-Hygiène-Assainissement) which seeks to unify the sector and guide its actions from 2020 to 2030.
