Burkina Faso joined SWA in 2011. The highest level of national multi-stakeholder dialogue is the Sector Dialogue Framework (Environment-Water and Sanitation (CSD EEA). Sector partners prioritized, inter alia, the strengthening of cooperation between Ministries and the construction of WASH works that respect standards. Moving forward, partners are rallying their efforts around the formulation of a WASH-climate proposal; fecal sludge management plants in rural zones; and elimination of open defecation.
